Saturday Night Takeaway felt like a blast from the past of Stars in Their Eyes when Sam Thompson made his entrance.

The beloved TV star and radio personality fulfilled a lifelong dream on Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly's iconic ITV show last night (30 March).

Fans will remember Sam's bond with Marvin Humes from their time together on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here last year. During their jungle days, Sam relentlessly asked Marvin to teach him JLS' signature moves and serenade him daily with their hits.

Sam's persistence paid off as he lived his dream of joining the legendary boy band on stage during Saturday evening's episode.

Viewers were in for a surprise when JLS welcomed their special guest during the 'Singalong Live' segment of Ant and Dec's show.

Three lucky families had the chance to win £500 each by guessing the missing word in JLS' hit song 'Everybody in Love' while Marvin, Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, and JB Gill performed.

Before the performance, Marvin hinted at a surprise midway through, but no one expected Sam to appear and steal the spotlight.

Introducing Sam, Marvin exclaimed, "It's the moment he's been waiting for! Your reigning King of the Jungle, Mr. Sam Thompson!"

Sam received a thunderous applause as he joined the band, showcasing his dance moves and singing skills. His performance of 'She Makes Me Wanna' was a hit, leaving him overjoyed.

Reflecting on his boy band debut, Sam shared, "I’m the happiest I’ve been in my entire life. I had vocal coaches – it was amazing."

Aston even joked about taking Sam on tour, indicating a positive impression.

The surprise performance captured the hearts of viewers, who flooded social media with praise for Sam's moment with JLS.
